The EX-47960 RS-232 extender (extension) can be used for any PC, workstation or server with an RS232 interface. It is equipped with a 9 pin female connector that you can connect directly to your RS-232 serial port. It extends the RS-232 signals up to a maximum length of 50 meters. A Cat. 5 or 6 network cable is required for transmission between the transmitter and receiver. The EX-47960 operates without a power supply and the thumbscrews can be removed without tools and replaced with the supplied nuts.
