The EX-6164 is a multiprotocol serial-to-Ethernet converter designed to connect
RS-232 serial devices such as point-of-sale systems, barcode readers, sensors, gauges, weighing systems, CNC controllers, and PLCs to an IP-based Ethernet network.
The converter acts as a “remote USB to serial converter” over Ethernet. With its Windows-based configuration GUI and virtual USB COM drivers, the system can instantly add fully functional serial ports over Ethernet from anywhere.
